And he's going to be back for season 4...

Report: Tennant signs for more 'Doctor Who'
Tuesday, April 3 2007, 09:35 BST

By Ben Rawson-Jones, Cult Editor

David Tennant will be reprising the role of The Doctor in a fourth season of Doctor Who, according to an article in The Guardian.

The newspaper's 'Media Monkey' column, which contains insider news from the industry, claimed on Monday that "fans will be pleased to learn that a third series with Tennant in the lead role is guaranteed."

Speculation has been rife that the Scottish actor might be leaving the revived show at the end of the third season, which begun last Saturday, or shortly afterwards. The Sun had previously claimed that Full Monty star Robert Carlyle is in line to take over as the Time Lord midway through the fourth season.

Tennant himself has always declined to publically comment on the matter. Since accepting the part, he has won rave reviews for his quirky performance in the wake of Christopher Eccleston's tenure as the Gallifreyan.

Good news - although Robert Carlyle as Dr intrigues me - I think he could bring quite an evil edge with him...

apparently an old monster from the sixties is back too, I've probably heard of it being a complete Dr Who gimp. Just don't tell Christopher, or he might dump me for being a sad get.

Love Dr Who and can not wait for it to come back on after the Christmas one was so good. And the new Dr Who what a shock but like any other tv has change and move with stars and can stay in the role for the rest of their lifes e.g. "Soaps". Has move on and each star of Dr Who has been different and that why it so good and and the new Doctors have been great and miss David but can not wait to see how Matt Smith will play he now.

BRING IT ON MATT SMITH!!!!!!!!
