Default Hiv / Aids

I am gonna ask this question and see how people react. I just met someone and had a conversation which ended up in me deleting his email and saying bye bye.

The question:

Would you knowinlgy date soeone you know has AIDS/HIV?

Or would you outright stop as soon as you here it and walk away from them?

For the record I don't have them. I had a sexual accident five months ago, one which let me in a very unsafe boat floating towards a waterfall without a paddle. I have since been tested with a HIV test which covered me from birth to one month after the incident and that came up negative. I had other tests carried out to and I am all clean and clear.

My Genitologist assured me of that. Now I jsut met someone, who said they were interested in more than just NSA. They heard ths and said bye bye.

So what does this mean? There was a chance I caught somethin but there is a 98% certainty I am clean and because of that I am off limits? What about people who actually have this disease / infection or however you are meant to refer to it?

If you contract HIV / AIDS si that it your life is over? If you aren't with someone then youa re doomed to a life of solitude only to have friends aound you and never anything more.

To sound cold I wouldn't sleep with anyone knowing that they has AIDS/HIV. I think the risk to too high.

Would you deny their friendship? Would you hear the words "I have AIDS" and then not speak to them ever again?

Definatley NOT! I just wouldn't sleep with them. I vaule my health over a quick shag. And sleeping with someone with HIV in my book is too high a risk.

I believe that HIV detection can take up to 12 weeks to show after an incident. Or at least for the result to be considered fully conclusive. So on the basis of you taken a test 1 month after the incident, then I'd get tested again to be sure, unless you've already done that as part of the other tests you spoke of.

To answer the questions about dating / friendship with someone with HIV...

I'd have to say no to dating / sex, like Matty, it's just too risky and I think you should value your own health as a priority.

As for friendship, I wouldn't deny that at all. Friendship is gained and lost through personality and their actions (or lack of), not by whether someone has HIV or not.

The tests I spoke of were done 2 weeks ago and covered a period of birth to 1 month after the incident. If I had been infected in that period the test would have found it as the test was taken 4.75 months after the incident.

Also due to the nature of the incident the likelihood I actually caught anything from it is very slim as I never exchanged bodily floods. My genitologist just wanted to be safe cause he said its not impossible.

I agree with everyone else its just to high risk. I can't belive that people actually try to catch it from other people.
