Hi just posting a thread about the new supernatural gay horror series Witchward.
The series looks fantastic with a great cast of Characters.

Witchward is the brainchild of the Writer and Director Jason Davitt. It has taken just under three years to write and complete, and has been painstakingly researched.

Witchward is the first TV drama to be written by a real Witch and because of this has a unique element of truth to it. All Spells are authentic. The language spoken by the Magickal and Spiritual Beings in Witchward is Enochian, a real Magickal language allegedly given by an Angel to John Dee, the Astrologer Royal to Queen Elizabeth the first. All story lines are based around documented elements of the Occult World Vampires, Demons, Homunculus’s, Elemental spirits and Angels all have an appearance in Witchward, but shown in a completely different light, enriched by the writer’s wealth of occult knowledge.

I have being following a very nice telly drama from Germany called Verbotene Liebe. Apparently someone took the effort of subtitle it and put it on youtube, so it can be followed outside the german speaking audience.

The show is around a gay couple, Crhis and Oli. And I like very much how they are portrait.

Any way, here a little music video



and here the link to the first chapter of the series; mind you it has being running from 2008 so there's a lot of chapters to cacth up. But if you take interest on it I think you'll have some fun.

Not sure I'll watch it, I saw the trailer and I thought I wonder how they get on at school, then part of the trailer one of the boys says someone said to him "your gay" and he replied "does it matter" - good answer I thought.

I have an idea, that may work. :wink:

How about starting a QUK reading club, we can pick LGB and T themed books, give members let's say 4 weeks to read it (more or less depending of the actual length of the book), and then return here to discuss it.

There is different genres that we can pick up, from erotic literature like the one of our own Erotic Writer, to Romantic or historic novels, thrillers or even scifi and fantasy.

So, what do you think, who would be interested in taking part on this? If we manage to have some people interested, we can create a group and start looking for the list of proposed material to read, etc.

The last episode of the current series of Family Guy has aired in the UK, 'Partial Terms of Endearment' and deals with the issue of abortion. American Broadcaster FOX has decided not to air the episode in the USA.

The episode sees Lois agree to become a surrogate for a friend she met in college, but her friends then passes away before Lois has come to term, and this leaves lois with the decision to make as whether to abort the Baby or to have it and put it up for adoption.

Is FOX right in choosing not to air this episode? The BBC didn't seem to think so as they have already aired the episode.

I was reading THIS article, and thinking about it. In general terms I think I agree with Tatchell on that, is not that there should be no camp gay comedians and presenters, but that stereotyped cliché should be not the only type broadcast on telly.

I don't see lots of telly, so I'm not really an expert on UK shows, but are there any openly gay non-camp comedians and TV presenters?
