GFest, an annual event in London's cultural calendar in November, is supported by the Mayor of London. Last year BBC London, Grime Music Forum and international media coverage described the 3rdrd GFest as 'biggest event happening'. British Airways, Eurostar, Best Western Hotels, Red Carnation Hotels, Visit London, Visit Britain coverage for GFest 09 was a great help and encouraged tourists to attend GFest last year.
Filmmaker & artistic director of GFest, Niranjan Kamatkar said, “London offers the greatest possible variety of cultural extravaganza for everyone to relish. Last few years, I have enjoyed visiting Berlin to observe its cultural buzz around this time. It has been good to learn about some emerging trends in the queer cinema from Berlinale.”
GFest 09 presented over a hundred LGBT and queer artists , practitioners & filmmakers in over 8 venues.
GFest organiser is hopeful of forming some new links there & generating more response for GFest 2010.
