Why QueerUK
The word queer is starting to be reclaimed by the gay community and has a new meaning in modern usage as an inclusive, unifying umbrella term for people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual or of any other non-heterosexual sexuality or gender identity. So we couldn’t think of a better word for what we are trying to achieve, plus we think it has a nice ring to it as well.
